Terms & Conditions

Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully before using our services.

  1. To activate a package, it is requested the full payment in advance. Nothing will ever be initiated and then delivered unless the entire project is paid.
  2. Each Package delivery is digital, accessible as an instant download.
  3. Any additional requests not included in the packages, will be considered as extras and calculated based on the hourly rate of € 80. (In this case the client will not be charged any amount until an agreement is reached by both parties.)
  4. Active collaboration from the customer throughout the entire process is essential for the success of the project. If the client is unresponsive (to share review notes, reply to any question, or provide information related to the project) Asja Geppini Studio will not be help responsible for any delay in the delivery.
  5. Furthermore, the customer has a maximum of 3 days to reply to an email, after which the project will automatically be overtaken by other projects.
  6. Asja Geppini studio reserves the right to cancel an order if the customer purchased the wrong package or option. In that case, it will be issued a full refund. For example, if the customer buys a “Standard Design Package” option A (therefore Simple or Medium Complexity Design) but instead it requests the creation of an extremely complex garment. Likewise, if the customer purchases a package that does not include the requested services.)
  7. Once the customer receives the digital patterns of the base size requested, at least one physical sample (with the final fabric or an extremely similar one) must be mandatory sewn and fitted on a model. If the client needs help to review the sample or needs patterns’ adjustments, Asja Geppini Studio can support based on the requested services rates. (The customer will not be charged any amount until an agreement is reached by both parties.)
  8. As per standard 3D clothing development process, please expect adjustments to be made after the first physical sample is sewn. Even though CLO 3D Software is very accurate, there always are changes to be made on the first physical prototype. This derives from the fabric used, the sewing techniques, the model’s measurements or simply the customers’ desire to modify the design itself.
  9. The package does not include: printing cost of each pattern, c cost for the realization of the physical prototype and anything else not mentioned in the package description.
  10. If the customer requests the Digital Patterns in a DXF file, to send it to the factory Asja Geppini Studio will not be help responsible for any errors. This comes from the fact that 99 % of the time, factories modify / adjust the patterns based on their own standards, machines or size charts, without telling the designer or the pattern maker. We strongly recommend you only share PDF files with factories if you have not any previous experience with them.
  11. Asja Geppini and Asja Geppini Studio will not be held responsible for factory internal misunderstanding or production faults.
  12. Purchasing any Design Package from Asja Geppini Studio the customer will automatically accept the Terms & Conditions, and policies stated in this page.

Patterns Delivery Important information

A customer can request the Digital Patterns to be delivered in format DXF or PDF. Below their difference and what to expect.

  • DXF: (short for Drawing Exchange Format) is a type of vector file. Meaning that, if open with a AutoCad software any change can be applied to the patterns. It’s a “working file” in which the patterns are placed flat on the page based on their sewing construction. Please keep in mind that you will need a AutoCad Software (like CLO 3D, Gerber, Lectra) to open the file. Important: Meaning this file do not include printing placement.
  • PDF: file ready to be professionally printed in which the Digital Patterns are placed with the purpose of saving much paper as possible while printing. This means that the grain lines are not parallel to each other because this is a printing placement only and DO NOT represent the cutting placement (lay plan) on fabric. (You’ll get a lay plan (patterns placement of fabric) on a Tech Pack.  The page has a standard width of 100 cm (as a standard plotter) and length will depend on the garment complexity. (This is not a working file, meaning that you cannot change the patterns, but just print them.)

All digital patterns follow the industry standards and are therefore completed with:
seam allowances, grain lines, notches, annotations, pattern information (type of garment, pattern piece name, size and number of times it must be cut), facing and linings. No sewing instructions will be provided.
